2020 Experience BFU Outstanding Student Award

According to the requirements of the Regulation of Beijing Forestry University Experience BFU Scholarship for International Students, the application procedures of the Outstanding Student Award are publicized as the following:

Affected by the epidemic situation, the selection of Experience BFU Scholarship will be carried out both online and offline.

Ⅰ Qualifications

1. The International students, who has been studying in the university for at least one year. (from September 2019 to July 2020)

2. Abide by Chinese laws and regulations, abide by all rules and regulations of the university, and have no record of violation of laws and regulations. Attend classes and finish homework on time, actively participate in various cultural, academic and practical activities organized by the university, and actively participate in physical exercise to ensure good health.

3. Have a good academic performance in all subjects, and the average academic score of each subject is above 70 in the academic year of 2019-2020, and the examinations are conducted on time, and there was no failure or retake in the examination.

4. Those who have played a prominent role in the dissemination of Chinese excellent traditional culture or in promoting cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, and those who have made outstanding contributions and outstanding deeds in public welfare undertakings are preferred.

Ⅱ Evaluation Year, Quota and Criteria

According to the regulations of Experience BFU Scholarship , 12 outstanding awards were offered in the academic year of 2019-2020, among which are 4 doctorates, 5 masters, 2 undergraduate and 1 Chinese language-preparatory student.

Ⅲ Reference Basis for the Evaluation 

The Outstanding Student Award will be evaluated by the evaluation committee organized by International Relations Office, and mainly based on students' average performance, activity participation, academic achievements, personal morality and contribution.

Ⅳ Submission

1. Materials：

A. A list of all materials submitted（Please sort the materials in the list in order）.

B.A Complete academic report (transcript) from September 2019 to July 2020. (not necessary if no course taken)

C.Application Form for Experience BFU Outstanding Student Award. (see Annex I）

D. The letter of self-recommendation.

E. Statistical table of academic papers published in 2019-2020 academic year .(if any, please provide) (see Annex II)

F.Summary of candidates' participation in activities in 2019-2020.(see Annex III)

G. Other supporting materials such as award certificates, publications, photographs...（Please put it in a folder. Name: other materials）

All materials need to be put into a folder and sent to the designated mailbox in the form of compressed package before the specified time. If the materials are sent beyond the specified time, the evaluation qualification will be canceled. (Name of the package: Chinese name + student number; E-mail subject: Chinese name +  Experience BFU Outstanding Student Award)

All application materials must be true and credible. Falsifiers, once verified, will be put into the discredited list, and deprived of the qualification of the scholarship and will not be allowed to apply for any other scholarship during the period of study. If the case were serious, it would be handled according to the university’s regulations.

Ⅴ Evaluation Schedule

• Nov.2^nd ~ Nov. 3^rd . First review

The number of candidates for defense is set according to 150% of the number of candidates from different levels.

2. November 4^th. Announcement of the first review’s result.

3. November 10^th（To be confirmed, subject to the notice of retest.）. Presentation（Online and offline）

Candidates are required to prepare a presentation self-introduction /self-recommendation within 5 minutes with PPT, either in Chinese or English.

4. November 11^th（To be confirmed）. Announcement of the award winners.
